Climate change is one of the most serious issues that the world is facing today. The purpose of this essay is to discuss the processes that lead to climate change and strategies that can be used to address this issue. In order to comprehend how human activities contribute towards climate change and global warming, we have to truly understand the science behind this phenomenon. First of all we need to clarify what anthropogenic climate change means. This refers to the change in the amount of greenhouse gases and aerosols in the atmosphere as a result of unsustainable human activity. Greenhouse gases and aerosols change incoming and out-going solar radiation, thereby affecting the earth’s climate. The major human activity that contributes to climate change is the burning of fossil fuels. The IPCC report made conclusions that the earth is warming and that humans are the major contributor to this problem. â€Å"The balance of evidence suggests that there is a discernible human influence on global climate.† The evidence suggests that since the beginning of the industrial era in the mid 18th century, human activity has had a warming influence that exceeds that of natural processes such as volcanoes.
